Triple Mozart
Highlights from The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni and The Magic Flute
Get ready for an evening of romantic intrigue and tricks – and a fight between good and bad. All served up on an opulent concert plate, thanks to the extraordinary arias from three of Mozart's most popular operas.
Five young opera singers will enter the stage at Den Nationale Scene, with arias and duets –and the Edvard Grieg Guttekor (boys choir) and Edvard Grieg Ungdomskor (youth choir) are also joining, together with The Magic Flute herself: flautist Sigrid B. Djønne. Pianist Frode Skag Storheim will play and guide us through the evening, with piano solos and inside stories about the musical magician Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni and The Magic Flute are all on the list of the 10 most performed operas in the world. At the concert you'll meet some of their most famous characters: Figaro and Susanna, Don Giovanni and Donna Anna, Papageno and Papegena, Tamino and Pamina and Sarastro.
Duration: approx. 2 hours (included 20 minutes interval)
The concert is produced by Bergen National Opera, in collaboration with Den Nationale Scene.
