Sigrid Birkeland Djønne

Flautist Sigrid Birkeland Djønne (30) is The Magic Flute herself in the concert Triple Mozart.

Sigrid Birkeland Djønne from Indre Arna in Bergen, and has a bachelor degree in music from the Grieg Academy in Bergen with Gro Sandvik and Anders Ljungar-Chapelon. She has also studied at The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen – and in 2021 she finished her master degree at Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hannover.

She has been a soloist with the BIT20 Ensemble, Dragefjellets Musikkorps (Symphonic Band) as well as Bergen Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (BFUng). Autumn 2022 she worked as a flautist in the Norwegian National Opera Orchestra, and in May 2023 she begins her 1st year at Second Solo/Piccolo at Copenhagen Phil, after she won the audition there in November.

Sigrid Birkeland Djønne was a part of the academy orchestra at Opera by the fjord in 2021 as well as 2022, and this year with the solo flautist Karl-Heinz Schütz from The Wiener Philharmoniker as mentor. She plays a Muramatsu gold flute.
