In our one hour performance Carmen will be distilled into a passionate dramatic story, with all the major arias.

BNO has a major commitment to taking opera to rural places where live opera performance is rare. For 2018, we create a new mini-Carmen directed by John Ramster with fantastic international soloists which will premiere in Bergen before touring in Sogn og Fjordane, Hordaland and Rogaland. In a one hour performance arranged by music director Stephen Higgins, Carmen will be distilled into a passionate dramatic story, with all the major arias and ensembles.
