Sjur Hjeltnes
Pianist and entertainer Sjur Hjeltnes is well-known all over Norway, notably for his regular appearance in a humourous show on national tv.
Hjeltnes is classicaly trained at the Grieg Academy in Bergen and Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris, and his repertoire spans from Deep Purple to Fartein Valen. At Den Nationale Scene in Bergen, he was maestro di cappella and actor in 2011, and the year after he had his own show at Logen Teater.
Since 2012 he has collaborated with Linda Eide in a row of humour productions. Already in 2006 he won the prize for the best comedian together with Nordic Tenors. Not so well-known, he is educated as cantor and plays regularly as church organist.
This concert marks his house debut with Bergen National Opera.
