John Lidal
John Lidal holds a special position amongst Norwegian pianists as an accompanist, chamber musician and concert partner for a large number of international artists.
Lidal has his education from The Music Conservatoire in Trondheim, The Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London and Manhattan School of Music in New York. He has coached main roles in productions at The Metropiltan Opera, San Francisco and Santa Fe Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Royal Opera House Covent Garden Deutsche Oper Berlin and Opéra Bastille in Paris. Among the new generation of talented Nordic singers, he is a sought-after partner for recordings, radiotransmissions and concert. He is currently engaged at The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet in Oslo.
