The tenor James Gilchrist is back as Rev. Horace Adams in our Peter Grimes autumn 2019.

British tenor James Gilchrist, a specialist in English music, began his working life as a doctor, turning to a full-time career in music in 1996. He is a brilliant interpreter of Britten's and Handel's vocal music. His impressive discography includes Britten's Albert Herring (title role) and Winter Words, Vaughan Williams' A Poisoned Kiss and On Wenlock Edge, to mention a few. Recent highlights include The Messiah in Boston, The Creation at Garsington and King Arthur in Adelaide, Australia.

James Gilchrist is warmly welcomed back as Rev. Horace Adams for the second time with Bergen National Opera.
