Remus Alazaroae

Remus Alazaroae has been a guest at Bergen National Opera several times as a chorus singer, and made his debut as Roderigo in our Otello autumn 2017.

The Romanian tenor Remus Alazaroae started his career as an oboe player at Timisoara National Opera. Following vocal studies under Corneliu Murgu, Karan Armstrong og Thomas Mosser, he won the Lotte Lehmann Academy Special Prize in Würzburg in 2012. From the same year he has been employed as a soloist at the opera in Timisoara doing an extensive number of roles, among them Rodolfo in La boheme, Alfredo in La traviata, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni and Flavio in Norma.

Season 2020/21 Alazaroae makes his house debut at the National Theatre Opera in Prague as Macduff in Verdi's Macbeth.
