Peter Mumford
Peter Mumford has a long and diverse career within opera, dance, theater and film/TV as a designer of sets, costumes and lighting for major houses and venues all over the world.
Peter Mumford trained as a stage designer at the Central School of Art in London. During his long and diverse career he has worked in opera, dance, theater and film/TV as a designer of sets, costumes and lighting for major houses and venues all over the world. In the later years, he has entered the field of staging, and his complete Ring Cycle for Opera North in 2016 was met with great critical acclaim. As a highly sought-after lighting designer, he has done quite a number of productions at The Metropolitan Opera in New York – Werther, Carmen, Manon Lescaut, Faust and Madama Butterfly.
Otello marks his first visit to Bergen National Opera.
