Lucy Carter

The lighting designer Lucy Carter trained in dance and drama at the Roehampton Institute, University of Surrey, and in lighting design at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Carter has lit productions for companies including San Francisco Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, Stuttgart Ballet and New York City Ballet. Her opera credits include Fiddler on the Roof at Grange Park Opera, La finta giardinera at the Glyndebourne Festival and Lohengrin at the Welsh National Opera and Polish National Opera. Werther marks Lucy Carter’s first visit to Bergen National Opera.
