Lina Johnson
The Norwegian soprano Lina Johnson sings Evrydice in the upcoming version of Orpheus in the Underworld at the Norwegian Opera & Ballett December 2021.
Soprano Lina Johnson comes from the small island community of Austevoll on the Norwegian west coast. In 2006 she finished her bachelor degree in classical singing at the Norwegian State Academy of Music in Oslo, and completed her master degree at The Royal Danish Music Academy in Copenhagen in 2008 with highest possible grade. She finished her opera studies at the Royal Danish Opera Academy in 2011.
Johnson had her debut at the Royal Danish Opera in 2009 singing Najade in Ariadne auf Naxos. The year after she sang Constance in Dialogues des Carmelites.
This August (2021) she sang Marie in Donizetti's La Fille du régiment (The Daughter of the Regiment) at OscarborgOperaen in Norway, and in December she will be Eurydice in the brand new version of Orpheus in the Underworld at the Norwegian Opera and Ballett.
