Ingeborg Gillebo
Mezzo-soprano Ingeborg Gillebo is Annio, one of Tito's closest friends, and in a secret relation with Sesto's sister Servilia (Frøy Hovland Haltbakk). Mozart's opera La clemenza di Tito is premiered in Bergen March 2021.
The young Norwegian mezzo-soprano Ingeborg Gillebo studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music and at the Opera Academy in Copenhagen with Professor Susanna Eken.
In 2010 she made her debut at the Royal Danish Opera as Margret in Wozzeck and at the Norwegian National Opera as Cherubino in Le nozze de Figaro.
Since then she has appeared in opera houses and festivals such as the Metropolitan Opera, Opernhaus Zurich, Theater an der Wien, Opéra Royal de Versailles, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Bayreuth Festival, Drottningholm Festival Stockholm and the Norwegian National Opera.
2018 included 1st Esquire and Flower-maiden in Wagner’s Parsifal in Baden-Baden as well as in Berlin with the Berliner Philharmoniker conducted by Sir Simon Rattle, as well as Hänsel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel at Opernhaus Zürich.
Autumn 2019 she revisited Norwegian National Opera in Oslo as Cherubino in Le nozze de Figaro, and one year later she had her role debut as Carmen there, in a concert version during the pandemic. June 2022 she is singing Carmen in the staged version by Bieito for the first time.
