Patrick Wilder

Double bass player Patrick Wilder has been a part of our summer academy Opera by the Fjord from the start, and is in 2024 joining for the forth year in a row.

Patrick Wilder is of British decent, and grew up in Norway.
He has a Bachelor from The Norwegian Academy of Music (Norges Musikkhøgskole) in Oslo, under Dan Styffe and Knut Guettler.

Wilder started as a member of the The Norwegian National Opera Orchestra (Operaorkestret) in August 2008, and now has the position as co-principal double bass there. Wilder is also active as a freelancer, and has played with most of the Norwegian symphony orchestras here in Norway.
