Marita Sølberg
Marita Sølberg has her education from Trøndelag Music Conservatoire, The Norwegian Academy of Music and The Academy of Opera in Oslo. In 2001, she won the 1st prize in The Queen Sonja International Music Competition which positioned her amongst the top Norwegian singers.
After an engagement at the opera in Stuttgart she became a member of the ensemble at The Norwegian National Opera in Oslo, where she now is a leading soprano. Lately, she has appeared at Wiener Staatsoper as Mimì/La bohème and as Pamina/The Magic Flute at LA Opera in Los Angeles. Last season, she sang a remarkable Desdemona/Otello at the opera in Trondheim. In 2016 she launched a CD, Opera Arias, which won great critical acclaim.
The recital marks her debut at Bergen National Opera.
