Marcela Randem
The young Norwegian mezzo-soprano Marcela Randem visits Bergen as the Second wood nymph in our Rusalka.
A year after graduating from high School in 2012 Marcela Randem won the Young Star Scholarship (by Statkraft), and has participated in several concerts with renowned musicians such as Norwegian pianist Wolfgang Plagge and violinist Stig Nilsson at Hardanger Music festival and as soloist at The Kavli Price with Oslo Camerata with Stephan Barratt-Due in Oslo Concert hall. She also sang in Gloria by Poulenc with Oslo symphony orchestra.
In 2018 Randem graduated with a Master's degree from the Norwegian Opera Academy in Oslo. Same year she got an internship at Vilnius Academy of Music studying with Prof. Irena Milkeviciute. In 2019 she received a scholarship from the Norwegien artist funding FFUK (Fond for utøvende kunstnere) and moved to Berlin to take lessons with the renowned teacher Abbie Furmansky.
Summer 2021 Marcela Randem made her role debut as Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte at Vienna Opera Festival.
