Annika Schlicht

Annika Schlicht visited Bergen National Opera for the first time as Auntie in Peter Grimes in 2017.

The German mezzo-soprano Annika Schlicht received her diploma from Hanns Eisler College of Music in 2015. Since the season 2015/16 she is a member of the ensemble at Deutsche Oper in Berlin, where she has sung a wide range of roles, such as Prince Orlovsky in Die Fledermaus, Hansel i Hansel and Gretel, Dorabella i Mozart’s Così fan tutte og Maddalena in Verdi’s Rigoletto.

She has extended her repertoire to Wagner-roles as Flosshilde in Das Rheingold og Götterdämmerung, Siegrune in Die Walküre and Adriano in Rienzi. Schlicht has also visited other large opera houses like Bayerische Staatsoper, Opéra national de Paris and Semperoper in Dresden.

Auntie in Peter Grimes at Bergen International Festival 2017 marked her Scandinavian debut.
