Ann-Helen Moen

Norwegian soprano Ann Helen Moen sings First Lady in The Magic Flute here in Bergen autumn 2022.

Soprano Ann-Helen Moen from Molde in Norway studied with Susanna Eken at The Royal Opera Academy in Copenhagen. After finishing her education she was a soloist for three years at the opera in Graz in Austria.

Moen has a broad repertoire, from early baroque to romantic as well as contemporary music, for the opera stage as well as for concert performances.

She is highly acclaimed for her interpretations of Mozart, especially in the role as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni at The Norwegian Opera & Ballet. Her outstanding Mozart roles are as the Countess in The Marriage of Figaro, Donna Elvira and Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Pamina and First Lady in The Magic Flute, and Sandrina in La finta giardiniera.

Spring 2021 she sang Mimì in La bohème at The Norwegian Opera & Ballet, and the same autumn she was the Diva i Gisle Kverndokk's opera Around the World in Eighty Days (Jorden rundt på åtti dager) at Opera Nordfjord. Together with Liv Glaser on fortepiano she also released a CD with songs by Mozart for the label SIMAX Classics i 2021, with the title Freundstücke.

Spring 2022 she had her debut as Tosca at Operafestukene in Kristiansund.
