André Søfteland
We know him as Tevye and Jean Valjean. This autumn André Søfteland joins soprano Eir Inderhaug in our two Lloyd Webber-concerts in Bergen.
The Norwegian singer and actor André Søfteland is from Odda in Hardanger. He has a MFA in Musical Theatre from Guildford School of Acting. Søfteland also lived in New York for several years, where he performed in Les Misérables as well as in Sound of Music. Here in Norway some of his outstanding achievements has been as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof (Spellemann på taket) at Den Nationale Scene in Bergen and also at Trøndelag Teater.
In “Les Misérables” at Folketeateret in Oslo autumn 2017 Søfteland performed in the main role as Jean Valjean, and spring 2020 he was Anatoly in Chess, which also will be performed autumn 2020.
