Fløibane ticket

Pop-up opera performance inside the funicular Fløibanen, in collaboration with the Bergen International Festival.

OperaUp! is a series of spontaneous mini-concerts inside the Fløibanen funicular, which take place between 25th May and 7th June 2023.

Established as well as up-and-coming opera stars enter the funicular carriages Rødhette and Blåmann together with the other passengers. When the journey starts, so do the opera singers, with arias and elevating musical performances all the way to the top.

Fløibanen takes seven to eight minutes from Vetrlidsallmenningen at the bottom to the top of Fløyfjellet, and runs several times an hour.

Throughout the festival period, there will be OperaUp! performances during daytime, but they appear as suddenly and unannounced as rain showers on a mountaintop.

The OperaUp! performance is free with your regular Fløibanen ticket.
