Ulrik Gad

Danish Ulrik Gad gives us the lighting design for The Merry Widow 2.0 in Copenhagen as well as in Bergen.

Danish Ulrik Gad has his education from the Danish National School of Performing Arts in Copenhagen. At the Royal Danish Theatre, he has lighted a row of productions, notably Madama Butterfly in 2010, Le nozze di Figaro and La bohème in Gothenburg in 2016, and The Barber of Seville in 2018.

Engagements outside Denmark to be mentioned, are The Seagull at Dramaten in Stockholm in 2014 and The Fairy Queen at Theater an der Wien in 2017. Ulrik Gad has been the head of the lighting classes at the Danish National School of Performing Arts in Copenhagen.
