Simon McBurney

Simon McBurney is an English actor, playwright, and theatrical director. He is the founder and artistic director of the company Théâtre de Complicité in London. He has had roles in films like Jane Eyre, Robin Hood, and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (as Director Atlee). He also plays Cecil the choirmaster in BBC's The Vicar of Dibley.

His version of Mozart's Magic Flute had its world premiere in Amsterdam in 2012, and after having been staged in London, Aix-en-Provence and Basel, it will be performed here in Bergen autumn 2022, before The Metropolitan Opera in New York is the next stop spring 2023.
