Igor Gnidii

The baritone Igor Gnidii is the Gamekeeper in our Rusalka spring 2023.

Ukranian born baritone Igor Gnidii graduated from the National Academy of Music in Odessa and the Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia in Madrid. In 2005, he joined Atelier Lyrique of the Opéra National de Paris, and ever since he has had many successes in the French hemisphere; La bohème in Marseille, The Nose at Chatelet, La fanciulla dell West in Monte-Carlo and La traviata in Toulon – to mention some. His career has also brought him to Rome for Rusalka and Turandot, Amsterdam for Carmen and Lisbon for Falstaff.

Autumn 2020 he performed as Matthes and Der Pastor in Der Traumgörge (Görge the Dreamer) by Zemlinsky at the opera in Dijon, and the same roles autumn 2021 in Lorraine.

Igor Gnidii made his debut here at Bergen National Opera in 2016 as Capellio in I Capuleti e I Montecchi, and spring 2019 he sang Johann in Massenet's Werther.
