Ida Marie Ellekilde

With the costumes for The Merry Widow 2.0 Danish designer Ida Marie Ellekilde has her first engagement with an opera house.

Danish Ida Marie Ellekilde is trained at the Danish National School of Performing Arts in Copenhagen, and she has designed a row of theatre productions in Denmark, amongst others Rocky Horror Show at Aarhus Theatre in 2019, Body Blær at the Royal Danish Theatre and The Spanish Fly at Aalborg Theatre in 2013. For Malmö City Theatre, she created Miss Julie in 2017. The Merry Widow marks her first engagement with an opera house. Ida Marie Ellekilde has been a member of the Artist Collective SORT SAMVITTIGHET (Black Conscience) since 2007.
