Sjaron Minailo

Sjaron Minailo is an Israeli opera director and performer living and working in Amsterdam. Spring 2020 he is director for the world premiere of Future Opera at Bergen International Festival.

Recent highlights include Medúlla, based on Björk, and To Be Sung by Pascal Dusapin for La Monnaie in Brussels, Handel’s Semele at Operadagen Rotterdam and Die Zauberflöte for Teatr Wielki in Poznan – where he also designed the costumes. Sjaron Minailo was shortlisted in the Young Director category at the 2016 International Opera Awards. Future Opera in 2018 marked his first visit to Bergen National Opera and Borealis, and spring 2020 he is back, now with the world premiere of the new Future Opera at Bergen International Festival.
